How can I extract a file from a website ?
What kind of files? Embedded files?
I think its embedded .Its an mp3 file and when I click it,it opens in a new tab in a quicktime player
well, do a mouse over on the link, look at the status bar, if it has an extension of .mp3 or any other media type, right click it and say Save As
(or similar). or, if it doesn't, just right click in quicktime and say save source (can't recall as i hate quicktime/iTunes)
If I save it as save as... then wont I need to connect to the internet everytime I want to listen to it and I plan to put the file into my phone so I dont think I can use this method.
Maybe I should be more specific, I'm trying to dpwnload mp3 files from blue laguna but the download links doesn't seem to work instead they link me to a page with a quicktime player and plays the song instead of downloading so is there a way to extract the files ?
can you just PM me a link? when you save as... you SAVE it. you don't make a link or anything. when it goes straight to the player, that means your browser is told to not download or defaulted to having quicktime handle that file, AKA stream. PM ME LINK!
sorry I mixed up save link as ... with save as...
well, I sent you the link! catchy tune, very "asian" sounding...?
yea its very ''asian'' sounding anyways it stands for You got PM
Thanks for the link
i think your thinking of somethin like downloadhelper for firefox?
I use that most of the time but what I did was used one of the links which brought up Quicktime to handle it and just did FILE>SAVE PAGE AS>blahblah.mp3
