By adding friends and sending letters to each other, you unlock quests by mail from the NPCs. That's it I think.

I want a Black DS lite and it's either the Pokemon D/P one (which is cheaper since it's not bundled with a game and retails for the same amount as the other DS lites.) or the Chicken Scratch Winning Eleven bundle one...

The D/P one looks good (not really a Pokemon fan) but that gives me an idea on what to do with my Onyx Lite when it comes out >=)
