I've been wondering about 1.06 thanks for testing. I hope this product has good product support in the future like their other flash carts.
They can't fix the slow SD read/write speeds without a FPGA firmware update. The sleep mode bug is probably a software problem but at this point i would not count on them fixing this either. They abandoned the EZ-Flash Jr. after 1 or 2 years despite still having bugs. Zero updates since then.

What is clear is that it is a crappy cartridge.
Even though it costs $20, they can't fix the read/write problem, the cartridge is too slow and laggy in many games and they are not able to fix the sleep mode bug either. It has no advantage against clone cartridges from Aliexpress.

I will consider next time to buy again an EZ-Flash product

It seems that the only good thing about this cartridge is its aesthetics

And the support department has no response whatsoever

@EZ-Flash2 Please, any answer or any solution to all these problems?

With every game when you close the lid the power light, audio and screen strobe on and off.
It stops when you open the lid but this is really not acceptable and I imagine it could put a lot of stress on the system to cycle power like that so rapidly...
This has been a common problem with certain R4 clones if you play movies or music with MoonShell, not just a problem with the Parallel cart.

Make it obvious, don't give a generic response.

So? It's been a year. Still an issue on 1.06. Where is the fix? Being busy lately?
Considering the lack of response, and the lack of fixes, its very likely to be a hardware issue that is not fixable in software, likely related to the FPGA they used. Although it's pretty widely accepted that they are no longer updating this flashcart anyway.

And that's mainly due to the issues that many owners have described with the Parallel. Since it's no longer receiving updates by the team, and that the hardware cannot be revised once it's out, I don't say that I'd recommend it.

It uses a Gowin GW1N-LV9 FPGA which is not particularily difficult to deal with, I suspect they did not set it up to be updatable once installed in the EZ-Flash, although I'd have expected they would have fixed it with newer units so who knows.

ezflash has abandoned damn near every single product they've released and pushed off support to forums like this.

You should take a look at some of the old GBAtemp threads theyve responded too. They always gaslight and claimed user error despite their products being flawed

Yes their products "worked" but none of their products ever worked as advertised and always had flaws that either had to be dealt with, or the community had to fix months/years down the line on our own

it's a shame krikzz never made an everdrive gba x7 with real time save and cheats support, so ezflash omega would finally be properly killed off

although ez flash would still win in price, an everdrive gba x7 would probably cost 150-200 if not more

and krikzz has more important things to worry about right now anyway

Is there a fix for this issue yet? I just got a Parallel recently and encountered this.

No and there likely won't be a fix. It seems EZ Flash realised they cannot fix this issue and have now abandoned the EZ Flash Parallel as its been over a year since the last update. I advise you to buy a different flashcart if you want working sleep mode.
