Hi everyone,

I recently bought a gameboy micro and i still had a ez flash IV at home. Since i didnt use it with my nds and i never had any problems with my ez flash V i didnt expact any problems. But when i play games like Super mario advance 2 and pokemon fire red i cant save. I used the ez4 client to patch the roms. Perhaps you fellows have an idea whats wrong? Or you know witch settings i need to use in the ez4 client. I thought that the ez4 client automatically would choose the right settings.

Thanks a lot anyway.

Is there a file in the "SAVER" folder on the miniSD card, with the same filename as the ROM but with a .SAV extension?
If the file isn't there, the EZ4 will try to make one and fail. The EZ4_Client makes this file for you.

Yes the file is there, i used the EZ4 client to put the roms on the sd cart.
I tried different settings but i just cant get the save to work. I read something
about a battery that needs to be changed but this sounds like a lot of work and
if I am not sure that it would work I prefer to try other options first.

appreciate the quick answer btw.

Are you sure you selected "SRAM" when you patched the rom?
Not sure if this is actually needed, though.

If it is a battery problem, I recommend using the Soft Reset keys to reset back to the menu. This will save your game even if the battery has run out (That's the reason why I recommend the IV over the 3in1.)

Thanks for your reply, i am absolutely sure i selected the sram patch.
Can you tell me what keys i use for the soft reset? and can is still save more
games or just one?

Would that ez flash work with a gba sp as well?

What's the capacity of the sd card?

yes, i own a gba sp and i use ez flash and it works great. The max you can go up is 2gb with the micro sd or mini sd card and that's plenty, because the nes and gba games take very little space on the micro sd card.

The important thing to remember is, a regular micro sd adaptor will not fit inside the gba sp, you need a mini sd adaptor. And if you buy a micro or mini sd card, it has to be NON SDHC, it can't be high capacity.

questions are answered when someone qualified to answer them reads the thread. bumping after 10 minutes is a sure way to get yourself ignored.

1004 Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition - Stairway to the Destined Duel USA Sram v113 - 256 kbit

looks like it may require an sram patch.
