Hacking EZ Flash IV (MicroSD version) issues

I'm having a few issues with my EZ Flash IV. I recently started playing it again on my DS and not only does it freeze/crash at times without warning but it also corrupts the In-Game saves. Months prior, I didn't have this issue but couldn't play anymore due to my charger getting destroyed. Now I'm worried about playing anymore games on it because of the chance that my hard work will get corrupted... Any ideas as to why it's doing this and how could I go about resolving them?

You should back up your saves first, which is pretty easy since they're all in the saver folder (these saves also work in emulators).

Does writing games to NOR help?

What games are messing up, are they select ones or do all games have these problems?
