Couldn't Nintendo cause the browser to nag and make it unavailable until you update? They've done it with the 3DS and I wonder why they didn't think of it for Wii U (and I hope they aren't reading this topic and I gave them the idea.)

As of 5.5.1 the only HTTP(S) URLs for code-binaries under Internet Browser "code/" are: internal-testing URLs, web-searching, "favorites" URLs, the Wii U version of the browser-filter also used for JPN-New3DS(https://3dbrew.org/wiki/Internet_Browser#New_3DS_Internet_Browser), etc. That is, as of 5.5.1 there's no known Wii U equivalent to the following with 3DS: https://3dbrew.org/wiki/Internet_Browser#Forced_system-update

In short, the Wii U browser doesn't have the forced updating stuff like the 3DS browser does. yet. But you're not going to update from 5.3.2, 5.4.0, 5.5.0, or 5.5.1, right?
