"UK, November 17, 2006 - Nintendo has finally announced European details of its DS Lite MP3 player, which hits UK stores on December 8 - the same day Wii launches - priced £20. The Nintendo MP3 player, which is compatible with both Game Boy Advance SP and Game Boy Micro as well as both DS handhelds, is an adaptor that plugs into the cartridge slot and plays music from a separate SD memory card.

Music is copied over to the cards via an adaptor that connects to a PC and track information is displayed on the DS screen, with a 512MB card holding around 150 songs. Users can of course store more by buying a larger SD card, with 1GB SD card - enough for 25 albums - and USB card reader setting you back around £15 - less than a double CD."

Looks interesting, even though moonshell does this for me and plays movies. Although it would be interestng to see what the big N makes of this device, maybe some neat expliots will come of this.
