Was I right in reading somewhere about eShop Thursday updates, if so, its Thursday morning here and no update yet
(hopefully by midday we'll have it

) but while I wait, I'm interested in what games you guys think/know will be coming in this eShop upodate.

It's only Wednesday here in the states, it'll probably "loosely" go by USA time at the very least. Expect it tomorrow (I MAY be wrong, just saying this because that's how it went last time... kinda).

@ Devin: YES! Also, MESSAGING

First of all, thursday is for North America. Second of all, this happens in the evening.

I just hope they have the decency to add the E3 trailers the rest of the world got. Maybe a 3DS demo of some kind. I know demos are out there for a lot of games. Why are none of them on the E-Shop yet? Preferably Zelda, Starfox, Steel Diver and Kid Icarus, but I know that's not gonna happen.

We don't have demos on the eshop here in North America and I doubt japan has them either. We only have E3 trailers.

so dos this mean all countries go by American time? I mean this shouldn't be like this if every region has it's own eShop

1. Nintendo USA headquarters is in Remond
2. WORLDWIDE updates; uniform and simultaneous, so either Japan HQ or USA HQ would be the ones to go by
2. Nintendo went by USA time last WORLDWIDE update, so I assume it'll be the same form now on. Seems like they don't want people complaining about updates being released at different times. They want content to be available for all users at the same time.

The demos are out there though. The demos people got to play at the various pre-launch events and the like. No reason they couldn't be added to the E-Shops. Nintendo admitted the system isn't living up to their expectations, they need to start letting us see what the system is capable of with games we actually care about. There's not much out there right now. We're all waiting on stuff like Mario (both in and out of the Kart), Kid Icarus, Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc, most of which had demos at these events. If we could play them we'd be hyped up like crazy.

I'm going to assume that those are press/event only demos to keep people hyped up.

Which Nintendo would benefit from releasing into the wider world. The press doesn't need them any more, so why not? They're just gonna be sat around doing nothing otherwise. They need to keep us hyped about now because even they've admitted that the system isn't up to full speed yet. How pumped would you be if you switched on your 3DS in the morning to find a demo of Kid Icarus?

well just did research was gonna be Monday every week. but changed to Thursday.

ask Nintendo help. this what they say. updates on eshop are live by 6am on Thursday UK time

snes vc titles I heard
Do want Super mario world!

eShop told me I needed to update just now. Is this the update everyone's talking about?

EDIT: New version is 2.1.0-3U here in the US.

I hope they don't start releasing updates every week. Not unless they're fixing series issues and adding useful content.

New update, no new spotpass notification, no new content yet. Maybe this new update will support new eshop apps? Netflix?
