While browsing the net, I saw that metal slug games were available un xci form. but these are eShop games so how is it possible?
I make some research but I didn't find anything... it intrigues me...

Didn't know it was a thing. Strange that we not see a lot more of eShop xci

Actually they're not from the eShop but from game card dumps. As of now free CFW can only use NSP (eShop format) which has to be installed hence the convenience of the tool.

No they are not, they are e-shop dumps converted into .XCI with a tool. The metal slug games don't have a cart version for the switch, it's e-Shop only

any difference with cart dump XCI? like if there's files missing like with the case of NSP converted from XCI?

I didn't know you could convert eshop to xci. Would playing xci converted games on emunand be the ultimate ban evader?
not necessarily

there is no evidence that Nintendo will ever detect or not that you played cartridges of eshop games, that actually would need to be installed

edit: we also don't know if nintendo can or cannot detect emunand. it's still too early

This would be perfect for sx os with stealth mode. No traces of installed nsp.

I'm.gonna try this on my second switch which is not banned yet because I only play xcis in stealth mode
