Was just wondering what the best one was or even an opinion would be awesome.

Between these which do you like the most or is the best in your opinion and why?

Jnes
Nestopia
Rocknes
Fceux

Not sure if there are any others that are more popular than those above I have used them all at one point extensively, I don't care much for RockNes or its DOS UI (I believe thats what its running on?) I like Jnes but the vsync doesn't seem to work properly on my PC or something doesn't work right in the emulators coding or it could just be me lol. I like Nestopia I used it for a while until FCEUX came out not sure if FCEUX is a port or something of a past emulator but none the less its the one I have been using rather often lately and it sees updates 24/7, go FCEUX! lol.

Note: To the mods if this is in the wrong location please move to the right one and I am sorry as I just figured that since its general gaming this would apply here, cheers :P

Yup Nes emulation and I know that Tantric ported the FCEUX I believe to the Wii so when i had saw that there was a PC version being updated 24/7 I was on it fairly fast!

Note: lol now if only Tantric could get the GBA emulator on Wii to have a constant frame rate with out the random audio skips and random lag we'd be set! its a great emulator just needs allot more fine tuning I think! :) but I hear he's busy off doing other things lol :P

I would vote for Fcuex too since it is still being actively updated. Although to be honest most NES emulators have been perfected for years so picking what ever one works best for you and has the interface you like the best is going to be the best one.

You might also look into some of the multi system emulators, usually more buggy than specialist emulators but if your some one who likes to have one interface for all your systems emulated then it might be worth checking out. (Don't ask me what one is best, I like all my emulators separate...)

Yeah I like mine separate as well, I love viusalboy advance-m (wish they'd bring skin support back or away to re-enable it :( ), fceux, PCSX Reloaded, snes9x 1.53 I used to use Bsnes but I don't know I love the accuracy but something seems off to me about it, a feature missing maybe? NullDC, Desmume, and 1964 SVN most recent.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
