Gaming Elebits NTSC not working on PAL even with StarFall

I've got Elebits NTSC retail copy and my Wii is PAL version. (My old Wii was NTSC but I've since sold it off.)

I've got Homebrew Channel, BackUp Launcher and StarFall(I just installed that today).

The disc loaded via HBC fine, but when the story about how the boy hated Elebits and the gameplay begins, it freezes. Even I couldn't press Home on my WiiMote to get back to Wii Menu.


What's happening and where have I done wrong?

patch the game to pal and try gecko region free...

I recall playing the NTSC version before the common key was known so you're doing something wrong.

Is your Wii set to 60Hz? If not try that.

Right, I downloaded a backup. No luck.

My TV is 50Hz.

How do I patch the game and use Gecko?

I bought a retail copy of Elebits - brand new for £10. A bargain! I'm waiting for its arrival.
