Homebrew Dump 3ds games i think

but what exactly can i make with this dump?

Braindump makes incomplete dumps and as such, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But it was used previously to extract the romfs of games to make ROM hacks. If you had CFW, you should be using CFW to obtain the romfs of games, or use GodMode9/Decrypt9 to obtain your game in .cia format and use a PC program to obtain the romfs.

I do a rom hack with this when I didn't have cfw, and a few time ago I had installed my rom hack as cia, what is missing with braindump ? I can keep this cia ?

I don't know what's missing. All I know is that it gives incomplete dumps. If your CIA runs just fine, I don't see a reason as to why you can't keep it.

How did you rebuild a CIA with the files from Braindump? It doesn't dump the Exheader which is 100% needed to rebuild a Rom/Cia. Did you dump that separately or download it somewhere or what? I'm genuinely curious.

rebuild a .3ds and convert it to cia

but after the first rebuild in cia I extract the cia to replace the old file obtained with braindump

AFAIK it doesnt dump the exheader and NCCH header properly.
