Hardware Dsi Downgrade

Well I bought a old 3ds motherboard on firmware 6.6 (Demo 3ds but hopefully it will work :/). I was gonna then do the stuff to get cfw on it and dsi downgrade it onto my new 3ds xl.

idk if DSi downgrade will work from a demo 3ds - can the demo 3ds download official eshop apps?

I think it will work.
If it does not work, as a last ditch effort you could hard mod the demo 3ds and maybe write a non-demo nand to it. Not sure about that though.

The whole point of buying it was so that I wouldn't need to hardmod :/

I mean if it doesn't work, the motherboard wouldn't be much help to you and hard modding wouldn't be as big of a risk. You don't have to

potentially, but idk if it would even allow updates. May not even have a home menu and just boot games directly.IE so an employee wouldn't steal it.

I don't really know, but I am pretty sure it should work (I don't think Nintendo would want to make many modifications to the demo firmware).

Oh well it's all speculation. Last resort is that I wait for slowhax, downgrade my friends 3ds and then downgrade mine.
