Hacking Ds TV Tuner

Hi everyone im new here so i hope i posted this in the place.
Anyway i was reading about a tv tuner that would supposedly let you watch tv on your ds. it was apparently released but only in japan and it would be useless outside japan as it was made to receive japanese television signals. Anyway what i would like to know is did nintendo ever make or release a tuner for the rest of the world specifically Australia as i live there and if not it there somewhere else i can get a tuner from is there a different way to watch tv on a ds.
Anyway any info would be greatly appreciated.

It was never released here, and the Japanese one won't work with the TV signals here.



You could download the TV shows and watch them in Moonshell on the DS?
