Ok so even though I personally adore and love Hadrian for his "releases expected this week"-threads (keep up the good work!), I've just recently come to the conclusion that it’d <i>also</i> be nice to know what games are expected to come out <i>this month</i>. And so, because Hadrian thought that such a thread would be too much of a hassle to try and support (since we all know that <b>release dates <i>are</i> always subject to change</b> just like that) – I’m willing to give it a try seeing as how I’ve been thinking about doing this on some Swedish forums as well, so I might as well get to it and hopefully it'll all turn out good and be appreciated wherever I post this <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

<u><b><!--coloro:#FF0000--><span style="color:#FF0000"><!--/coloro-->NOTE:<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b> For hotlinks to Hadrian's threads where you can get details on what to expect each <i>week</i> of this month - see the bottom of this post!</u>

Right, so here goes. What can we expect of this current month (that being June)? Well my personal favorites among the titles below this paragraph are without a doubt <i>Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift </i>and <i>Guitar Hero: On Tour</i>. These two games I’ll actually be <i>purchasing</i> (gasps!), but then again It’ll be hard playing GHOT without the included accessory <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />’ As for FFTA2, I’m a huge fan of FFTA and have spent countless of hours on it, so I’m really thrilled about this sequel and am currently playing the PSP-version of FFT.
Games that I’m keeping an eye on are <i>Cooking Guide, Etrian Odyssey II, Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles, New International Track & Field</i>, and <i>Summon Nights</i> - and so should you be doing (<i>Spectral Force Genesis</i> and <i>Bleach: The 3rd Phantom</i> as well if you know Japanese, I mean <i>finally</i> we get a Bleach RPG!!) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> But enough jabbering - I present you with the games that are due out this month, June 2008.

Wait, a Bleach-game that doesn’t resolve solely around fighting? A Bleach RPG, really?? Someone pinch me for I must be dreaming (which I <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=56750&hl=Shinigami" target="_blank">have been</a> doing for a long time now). Fingers crossed that this’ll be good and most important of all - translated <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> I think it looks awesome but probably won't touch it unless someone either translates it or it officially leaves the shores of Japan.

Yay another Band Brothers, in Japanese... When the heck are they going to release the first one outside of Japan? :S Oh well, still enjoyable I suppose.

The first game wasn’t bad at all. Kinda interesting how you draw each dungeon map by hand - even placing out events, items, the exit etc - on the go <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> And because developers usually tend to learn from their mistakes I’m hoping that Etrian Odyssey II will be even more polished. Definitely worth a look!

Wow this is retro I tell you, and I’m not basing this assumption solely on the screenshots – just have a look at the trailed and see for yourself that this game right here is old school! <3
Question is: that a good or bad thing, really? We’ll find out soon enough I guess...

Dude, this "game" is totally gonna rock everyone's panties off. Just click the link above and watch the Japanese version in-action and you'll see what I mean - I say the voice control alone makes it totally worth trying out <3 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

FFTA on the Game Boy Advance received a pretty mixed reception and I say it all comes down to whether how much you like micromanagement and turn-based battles that <i>could</i> very well go on for an hour. I for one loved the game both for its cool features but also engaging story. I found it to have this cozy atmosphere and I’m hoping that FFTA2 will let me relive that feeling.
Apart from having a different story - Square has also increased the number of jobs, included enemies that take up multiple squares, and the map is supposedly more "in-depth" now while the grid-based system is said to be "more developed".

Time to rock whenever you want and wherever you are! \o/

I think it’s safe to assume that everyone already knows what GH is (and if not them shame on you!) and what the big deal is with going On Tour. I myself am looking forward to the game, now I only hope that it’ll offer downloadable content or at least release expansions on GBA-carts with more songs on them... well obviously that last thing ain't gonna happen because the GBA-port is already occupied <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />' Anyhow, if they can't (or simply won't) find a solution to this then I’m afraid this game may not last very long...

An interactive digital novel by Aksys Games (From the Abyss, DS) where you search for clues, talk to witnesses and try to solve three different cases. Last time I heard it was gonna sell for only 20 bucks (!) so unless they screw this title up big time, it should definitely be worth the money! Detective-like adventure games are a rare find after all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Indy’s back, and this time - he’s... a brick <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> Well seeing as how successful the other titles were, what could possibly go wrong here? Not much on stationary consoles, I’m sure. But the DS? I’m a bit skeptical, but the game <i>should</i> be decent at the least.

Holy shit, when was the last time I played Track & Field?? Like maybe 15 years ago or something like that (gosh I feel old now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" />'). Well I'll all you kids out there that T&F was an <i>awesome</i> sports game that wore out a looot of people's joysticks, lol <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />' And this "New International" one looks pretty cool too - I mean putting <a href="http://www.nintendovicio.com/imagenes1/NDS/New_International_Track_and_Field/New_International_Track_and_Field_5.jpg" target="_blank">Pyramid Head in there</a> (Silent Hill) is like... like having whipped cream on your cup of hot cocoa! XD So here's another thumb up from me, should be really interesting <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Yay Civilization is <i>also</i> back - again! And since this has always been a great game ever since the first one came out in 1991, I have a good feeling about this one - be it on the DS, PSP or whatever stationary system that it's coming to <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Well what do you know, a puzzle-like game on the DS which heavily relies on the touch-screen! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Looks interesting enough to be worth a try, at least I’m pretty certain of that my female friends will enjoy it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />
Concept of the game: blow the Soul Bubbles through level after level without losing them! Best way to get a hang of how it works is by watching the trailer (which should generate <i>some</i> interest in everyone, be you a hardcore or casual gamer).

Never heard of this one before either but the trailer looks pretty good IMO. Some sort of strategy game that has you pick one of 40 (!) countries and then build up a big and strong enough army to try and conquer the world. Makes use of the touch-screen in some weird way it seems - letting you command your army in battle by "drawing paths"... Well, sounds <i>and</i> looks interesting enough, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll either be translated in a nearby future or can be played anyway.

Stylus-driven action RPG (phew) by Banpresto (Super Robot-series) set in the Summon Night universe. I honestly didn’t even know that this game was coming up until now, but yeah it’s exclusively controlled through the touch-screen so you tap to walk, tap to attack, tap to use abilities and so on and so forth. You can even touch a portrait to switch between the game’s two main characters: Aldo and Reiha.
Looks kinda cute <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Other (in my opinion less thrilling) games that are <i>also</i> expected to see the light this month are: <b>Arkanoid DS (17th), Cake Mania 2 (24th), Doodle Hex (?), Evolution GT (27th), Imagine Rock Star (17th), Journey to the Center of the Earth (27th), Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Ninja (24th), Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Saurian (24th), My Health Coach: Weight Management (20th), Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru (12th), Space Invaders Extreme (10th), Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 (17th), The Incredible Hulk (5th), The Tower DS (?), Top Spin 3 (23rd), Wacky Races: Crash & Dash (17th), WALL-E (24th).</b>

And, of course, here are the links to Hadrian’s weekly threads for even more details and (possibly) accurate dates (again - remember that these are always subject to change):

<a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=88387" target="_blank"><b>1st week of June</b></a>, Days 2-8
<a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=89424" target="_blank"><b>2nd week of June</b></a>, Days 9-15
<a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=90383" target="_blank"><b>3rd week of June</b></a>, Days 16-22

Space Invaders Extreme will be the best of the lot! Seriously, I have enjoyed the Japanese version so much.

Also Doodle Hex, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, New International Track & Field, Spectral Force Genesis, The Tower DS are out in June.

Hoping Black Sigil comes out this month, I did contact the publishers and they told me not to expect it until after August.

EDIT: Oh yeah next weeks will up tomorrow.

Thanks for the additional titles Hadrian, I'm working on it!

There, I've updated the first post with all the games that Hadrian mentioned and three of them now have some info, pictures, and a link to each game's trailer!

Oh come on - surely there's better games coming than just another Space Invaders clone?!

Ack and they should know what they're talking about so, guess we won't be seeing that one for a while then...

Space Invaders Extreme is much more than a clone, try playing it and you'll see what I mean.

And I am already doing this at all!

However, that´s very fair of you

Agreed, and I cannot stress enough how these threads of mine are by no means really meant to interfere with Hadrian's updates or run him over, but simply a complementary to his work - wheres I try to give everyone an overview of what the whole month has to offer while he covers each upcoming week with more precise info. I want our threads to co-exist and complete each other

Ive read a lot of mixed "facts" about GH on tour.

Mainly about wifi. Some say it has it, others say it doesn't. It doesn't have the little blue circle on the front... So does anyone know if it will include it or not?

There's local multiplayer, as shown in the trailer.

It should have online leaderboards at least but if it doesn't have that circle it most probably means it doesn't. It's always so fun seeing your name on the 6934th place though.

it's quite obvious that guitar hero won't get GBA carts with extra songs.
how would you insert them with the big handle/controller thingy in the GBA slot?

Yeah I sorta figured that one out earlier today as I begun translating what I had written into Swedish so that I could post the whole thing again on another forum
