Gaming DS slot 1

PLease help which is the best slot 1 device I should buy for my kid?
DS-X seem to be over price and G6 seem to have problem with it.

Too tricky for a kid. Go for a good N-Card clone. It's just drag and drop and things just work out the box.

I wouldn't recommend anyone get anything else, especially when you get one with a 1 gig JDM kingston from Dealextreme for $35.

Hmm I think DS-X has far more problems with it then G6, but I wouldn't recommend either of them.

Look into the R4DS or the CycloDS.

Jup, CycloDSEvo is especially nice when he has friends with ds's too, because of it's superior download play compatibility. For just rom compatibility both will do just fine.

I don't see how N-Card easier to use then R4, with R4 you insert the MicroSD card in the reader and drag and drop. With N-Card you plug in a slot2 thing and drag and drop. Doesn't make that much of a difference. N-Card is a nice option as well, but not necessarily simpler to use, more like just as simple imo.

Get an R4 or M3 simply, with a Toshiba made micro sd card.
It's real simple to use, childs play.

I recommend the CycloDS Evolution but the R4 is also good and DealExtreme are selling them really cheap.

I'll wait untill there is a serious problem with my R4, and dealextreme starts selling the CycloDS for $25 before I start thinking about buying one.

I wouldn't give my 8 year old niece an R4. It has very small moving parts, springs and she'll loose the Micro SD card in a week

With an N-Card clone, it just looks the same as her other NDS games and she won't try and swallow it or something haha...
