Orcs and Elves is a very old time dungeon crawler type of game.

There's Fighting Fantasy, which got some really bad reviews, but there's a few people here who liked it. It's a very niche genre.

I thought Etrian Odyssey was first person. I could be wrong.

If you want something like Orcs and Elves, look up Doom RPG for mobile, it's from the same developer and maintains the same turn-based FP mechanics.

You may like Mazes of Fate. Note that it's different from the GBA one -- more genuinely 3D and first-person, less like Eye of the Beholder and such.

Also, I think The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is similar to Orcs and Elves. I never got a chance to play it, though.

I have orcs and elves 1&2, doom rpg and wolfenstein rpg on my SE K750 and it's awesome. I still remember Lands of lore on my old 486...

Thanks everybody !!

I personally really like Fighting Fantasy. It's reminiscent of Orcs and Elves, except it doesn't lock you onto a grid and it's a true real time action RPG. I don't get all the negative reviews at all... It's a really solid game. The only things I can think of to knock it are that the difficulty is really high and the hit detection could be better. I can understand the hit detection, but even that you can get used to within minutes. The difficulty is a welcome thing to most gamers, too many games treat you like a baby. Other than that, the graphics are really lovely, environments are detailed, and the framerate never drops. There's rarely any music (if any, i don't remember any music), but that actually adds to the atmosphere.

Solid game, i'd recommend it if you like a really hard first person RPG in the vein of the Elder Scrolls games. Just give it a fair try and give yourself a few minutes to adjust to the hit detection.

The bad reviews were mostly in part of it being a very niche genre. You either love it or hate it. And apparently, for a lot of reviewers, it's too out of their league. I didn't like it at all, but I could see that I didn't like it because it wasn't my thing, not because it was a bad game.
