Hacking DriveKey + Wii v4 problems

So i recently bought the DriveKey on my PAL wii

previously i was on v3.4? and some of my backup games didnt work, so i decided to upgrade the wii software to v4.

now i find that even MORE games dont work.

when i put in a backup game, it spits me a black screen saying i should eject and reset. doesnt even load the game image on disc channel at all.

what should i do?

i thought the drivekey was meant to cover all regions of backups?
