Gaming DRE games & copying to computer

I burnt a few wii games and deleted the files from my comp, they worked fine for 1/2 an hour, then started DREing on me like crazy.

I was wondering what causes DREs, is the data hard to acess on the disc, or is the iso damaged? and more specifically, could I just copy the ISO to my mac and do a proper burn with no DREs, or is the iso itself ruined in these types of situations?

(P.S. I only have 3 dvds left, which I am saving for RE4, manhunt, and Heatseeker, so I can't test it)

what speeds did you burn at, and what type of media did you use?

2x. And crappy TDKs (max speed 4x.)
Also, is there any program that lets one extract ISOs from cds?
Whenever I put them into the comp there is nothing T_T

imgburn will make an iso out of your disks, you can then attempt to reburn the image on better media, again using imgburn.
