Bought a used switch for my wife’s brother, did what I usually do when i install picoflys, no problem.
Put it all together and launched hekate.
And here I got my first clue that something was different, when i pressed reboot button there was OFW and RCM….

F…. launched hw info in hekate…

I didn’t check the serial number before i started the modchip install. 😂🙈

RCM units are so rare these days and when buying used ones they go for way more than I paid. So I assumed it was just a patched unit.

Wasted time, lesson learned😁 check the damn serial every time.

So now I have officially installed picofly in every version.
Unpatched, ipatched, v2, oled and Lite😂

My v1's all have modchips. I hate using usb cables and I'm not comfortable with leaving it in rest mode because it drains the battery. Easier to turn it on and boot straight to atmosphere. Plus you're in a pickle if you accidentally turn it off or the system crashes while out somewhere.

One positive thing is that you do not have to use RCM jig and press buttons in exact way. The mod chip is just boot the cfw easy way. only thing you need is payload.bin on the root of your sd card.
