Hi guys, long time lurker. I signed up to ask this question.

I want to transfer Animal Crossing from a Hacked Switch and an Unhacked switch. One to play online and the other just to edit my save file then transfer it back to the unhacked switch. I have yet to try this.

My hacked switch has my Nintendo Account linked from before it was hacked. My unhacked switch will also have the same Nintendo Account since it states that I need the same Nintendo Account on both Switches.

I am running SX OS on my hacked switch. To do a save transfer it requires that my switch be connected to the internet. I am wondering if all I need is internet connection to transfer to save file or does it connect to the Nintendo Servers in order to do so.

Someone with prior experience that can tell me if it is possible would be appreciated. Thank you.

In general;
it depends on how you plan on transfer saves.

If you have two hacked Switches with Checkpoint ... it's not that hard and it SHOULD not alert Nintendo.

But what you describe is something that involves the traditional single save transfer ... which always does a online (I guess dauth) check, there is no way of doing that form hacked to non hacked in another fashion at this point.

I did an experiment of sort quite a while back where a third Nintendo Switch which was hackable but totally vanilla was involved.
Basically I only made that one go to atomosphere with as low key an approach as possible. So I could use Checkpoint. I then move the saves over from a superbanned switch to the 'vanilla' hacked one (by SD and then restoring from Checkpojnt). Then I rebooted the vanilla one to OFW. Then did a save transfer from it to the unhacked (also ipatched) Switch.

It worked like a charm, but and I cannot stress this enough your mileage might vary.

Regarding Animal Crossing

I am not even sure you can use the normal save data transfer. Nintendo noted a couple of times they did not want to allow this for the title. But they also noted some way of transferring would be coming later.

So for now I guess you are simply out of luck.
