I don't have a WiiU Pro Controller so I can't test it myself but seems like it could work seeing Pokkén controller does, the Mayflash GameCube adapter as well, 8 Bitdo controllers, etc.
EDIT: I've tested my Gioteck GC-2 which is recognised as Wii Classic Controller and as Wii U Pro Controller and it didn't work so I'd assume WUPC support isn't here yet.
