I do not have easy access to a Windows computer. I do have a Linux computer with VMware and a Windows 10 virtual machine installed. It's extremely slow but works. I want to run TegraRcmGUI on a Windows 10 guest OS to inject a payload into my Switch.

Has anyone tried this before? If I try it, is there any realistic risk of it bricking my Switch?

You should be able to "forward" the USB device from your Linux host to your Windows 10 guest and it should work fine. Even if it didn't, I really doubt it would brick your Switch.

I'm not sure why you'd want to though. You can download Python3 on Linux if you don't have it already, and run the fusee launcher: https://github.com/Qyriad/fusee-launcher

If you want, you can even add scripts that will automatically push your payload whenever a Switch in RCM mode is plugged in.

Or, if you aren't comfortable with the command line and prefer a GUI interface, check out the Web Fusee Launcher:

Using a Windows 10 VM just to push a payload to your Switch is a bit overkill, especially when there are so many devices out there pushing out payloads with just an arduino-based chip.
