Hardware Does a bricked wii can eject the disk?

Hi

Suddenly, my wii stopped to work.

I installed it on my cousin's tv and it didnt work anymore. Just a black screen. No sound. Nothing.

Well, since the game that was in the console was "Mario Kart NTSC-U edition, and my wii is a NTSC-J, i think that could be bricked.

But my wii still can eject and accept disk.

Does a region bricked wii can eject the disk?
