i havent updated (cos my wiis half dead) and i probally wont but like the guy above said homebrew doesnt have much to give at the moment. Theres nothing out there to excite the mainstream user. On the other hand the freedom of being able to play any game from any region and to alter the discs to enable more stuff doest excite me. I'm sure if we dont update and wait it out we'll see something positive.

They maybe can hide a secret file in the update wich can brick your wii in a special consequence. I don't trust Nintendo

Sounds unlikely when it means they'll be stuck with a huge influx of repair/RMA requests to repair said consoles.

I updated at the date that the WiiWare update came out.
But anyway the IOS37 should not be out in europe anyway.

Once the wiimote drivers are written, I think you will change your mind about that statement.

Yes they do.
The rapair people are normaly not even Nintendo's own people and doesn't care if some solder points have some more solder than others.
Many GBATempers has allready got repaires without any problems by simply just taking out the modchip.

Yep ... they fix 'em ... worse case scenario is they charge you for the repair.

I wish i could update. I dont have a internet connection though which can be used with the wii. Due to a badly labeled game Super Mario Galaxy i now have a half brick. Anyone know which pal games have updates greater than SMG.

I update ASAP every time. I know one day it'll screw me but oh well.

To tell the honest truth, I haven't had my Wii plugged in for months. Not much to play out there in Wii land...not for me anyway.
