Gaming DLC region lock?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to activate a code for the Splatoon 2 DLC from the american Amazon site on an european console and account? My Splatoon 2 cartridge post european, too.
I've got 10$ for the US-Amazon-Store, which I'd like to use for that.
