Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I'm trying to use disc2app to dump my Wii U games. My Wii U is on 5.5.3U firmware and I'm using Haxchi over Brain Age to run homebrew.
I've downloaded disc2app from the github release page and copied it to the "wiiu\apps" folder on my SD card. It shows up in the Homebrew Launcher list but whenever I actually attempt to load it nothing happens, the screen goes black for a second and I'm sent back to the Homebrew Launcher.
I've tried loading it with two different separate versions of the Homebrew Launcher (the channel version and the RPX version) and both have this same issue. I've tried loading it specifically without a disc in the drive, and my SD card does not have an "install" folder with anything inside (since I read that can cause conflicts with disc2app). My SD card is 32gb, formatted as fat32, and I have a 1tb USB hard drive plugged into the back USB ports.
If anyone can help me get this running I'd really appreciate it, I've been trying for three days now and it's driving me nuts. I just wanna dump and install all my discs, set them aside on the shelf and be done with it honestly.
On an unrelated note, can someone explain to me what a CDN is? I've downloaded FunkiiU also but I have no idea how it works. I understand how to populate the list and set up a download but I don't understand where it's actually downloading from, and if it's downloading straight from the eshop isn't that risky from a security standpoint? I'd just download a copy of NSMBU instead of dumping my disc but I don't want Reggie obliterating me into smithereens.
