Gaming Disappointed by last Direct? 5.11.2014

They just announced new special editions (Smash Bros., Persona Q) of the regular 3DS (XL) so yeah, I'm sure they'll keep it quiet about the New 3DS (XL) until after next year.

I hope they announce it early next year before my birthday or atleast after it I didn't just trade out my 2DS just for the long haul oh well atleast it served a purpose by giving me 64 credits that can be used to chop down a major hunk out of the New 3DS' price

I don't see a lot of discussion here about the Direct (not that anything new was unveiled for Wii U anyway).

Erm...what you write between brackets kind of shows why there isn't a lot of discussion. They announced some features and progress, but aside from the MM remake (which is for the 3DS) no new games. That's an "ok" in my book. But then again, I don't feel the need to have an opinion on commercials either (Christ...I'd have to give up the rest of my life if I should form opinions on THAT).

It was disappointing. I do not why why everyone is excited for a less darker remake.

These Nintendo Directs are almost never really good. If you hype yourself up for them, of course you'll be disappointed.

Ennh, was okay! ....Wasn't expecting Zelda/other big announcement anyway, so no problems there.... Actually watched the US one last night, but the EU one today - EU's was sooo much better, gotta love the EU boss and his pseudo-Nippon/Deutsch Engrish accent..... - half the excitement was wondering what words were gonna pop out of his mouth next, and better still, how he was gonna try and pronounce them.... But I digress: we got more Amiibo info, which is one of their big Chrimbo pushes, lots of MK8 DLC info, and plenty of info on the games arriving soon[-er than Zelda] - job done, and an OK one at that.

Usually the only differences are the accents of the presenters.

And regional differences in game releases. E.g. Majora's Mask special edition and Shovel Knight (which was released just after the Direct, but has been available in the US since June).

Eh, I cant say I am disappointed but was not hyped much either. I want to hear about a Metroid game for Wii U though!
As someone who loves small indie games, I was actually hyped to see a few exclusive ones for Wii U, Swords and Soldiers 2 looks superb!
