I have USB Loader GX and Dios Mios Lite 2.10

I install my games to my SD card through usb loader gx. Wii games work just fine but gamecube games don't. I installed paper mario and put super mario strikers disk in the wii. I tried to launch Paper mario but it would just launch strikers instead. I have heard so many different things and looked at so many different articles, I have no idea why it isn't working.

I have had other versions of Dios Mios installed with no success. What are the requirements to make dios mios work properly and what might i be doing wrong. Please give me STEP BY STEP help because i have tried ever tutorial i can get my hands on and it won't work.

Please HEEEEEEELP!!!!

I have tried using DM and DML but no matter what, i can't get it to run from my SD card or my eternal drive. Here, if I want to run the games off the HDD, how should i organize the files? SD/games/examplegame [gamecodething]/examplegame.iso? or should i put the .iso file right in the games folder?

I have used cfg before and it did the same thing, i was using 2.8 at the time so maybe its different. I would be using it except that it says its a stub whenever I open it, i fixed the stub issue once but i reinstalled it and it doesnt work now and i dont really want to take the time to fix it again. Either way, it should be possible to run DM through GX. I read something somewhere a while ago saying that new versions of DM installed over old versions may cause a problem but idk.

2 questions:

1. what are the requirements to run dios mios 2.10
2. do i need any other files on my drive to run a game aside from the .iso file? if so what are they and where do i put them?

Ok i succesfully launched a .iso game from my SD Card using dios mios booter with DML. I tried loading the same game off of a usb drive with DM and dios mios booter but it just loaded the game in the disk drive.

Also DML 2.10 is giving me an error saying "incorrect config version, please update your loader" when I try and launch a game off my SD card through GX. Any help for this? I really would like to be able to play GameCube and wii games from GX

yes, that's why it's booting from disc !
Everything is in your post !

Do what DIOS MIOS tells you to do : "please update your loader".

the version of the loader you are currently using is too old and works only with DIOS MIOS Lite from v1.2 to v2.1
Starting from version v2.2, you need to use a newer version of the loader or else it will boot the disc in the drive !

Thanks Cyan! I'll try it when i get home. in the ios249 folder, do i just take the 2 boot files and put them in the GX folder in apps?

only the boot.dol (the boot.elf is there for debugging purpose only)
copy in usbloader_gx/
launch from HBC or from the forwarder channel (not from the full channel)

Ok thanks so much! Games are launching just fine now. One more problem..... I uninstalled the USB Loader GX channel i had before and installed the forwarder but when i try and launch it comes up with the GX logo then boots me back to the wii menu, how do i fix this?

Like this:

SD/games/examplegame [gamecodething]/game.iso

I tried to install ios58 but when it finished dowlaoding it said unable to install or something. In the bottom left corner it said i had ios58. So i think i have it installed already.

yes i did. There is three other files in the USB Loader GX folder: 222.dol, 249.dol, and 250.dol. was i supposed to delete any of those?

I uninstalled the forwarder and re-downloaded the all in one pack. What files do I need to install and where for the forwarder channel?

install the forwarder channel (the one with UNEO in the filename) on your Wii with a WAD Manager.
copy boot.dol in sd/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol

That's all.

in apps/usbloader_gx/ folder you need 3 files:

boot.dol
meta.xml
