So ive modded my switch many years ago and i think the firmware i had was 16 something. So i hadnt use it for awhile for various of reasons and finally had the chance again. I downloaded a couple of rooms but only 2 of like 7 worked after installing it through tinfoil, regardless of XCI or NSP. I downloaded DBI and tried to install it but i got the message "cannot parse metadata. old firmware". So ive downloaded the latest (18.1) and installed it through daybreak using this guide: https://switchscene.org/threads/guide-to-update-the-firmware-of-the-switch-with-daybreak.2665/

But when after i had to rebot it and got thrown back to hekate and when pressing Launch then CFW it just got dark and wouldnt start (like a hard power off) so now i can only start it through injecting payload. Im guessing my Atmosphere wasnt up to date and i should have updated it before updating the firmware? Is it possible to update it now?

When trying to launch through emuMMC it says emummc is forced but not enabled switch. When trying to launch through sysMMC it just gets a hard reset and i have to inject payload to start it in hekate again.

Appreciate all the help in advance boyos.

okey updated it and it works through sysMMC but still get "emummc is forced but not enabled switch" when trying to launch through emuMMC.

That means you disabled emuMMC in Hekate but your loader entry has set it to force enable, so you don't accidentally grill your sysMMC. Select emuMMC in hekate and turn it on?
