So, while playing Trauma Center, despite it not being an RPG in the common sense, it made me wonder...

When a game wants to spring a suprise "good guy turns out to be the mastermind all along" kinda scheme, why do they feel compelled to give them to weirdest, really fucked up hairstyles?
Always weird playing a game going "Hey! You're really helpful and its awesome, we could be best friends but... i really cant trust your hairstyle...Something about it seems strange."

Why cant they make villain with regular hairstyles that do not raise any suspicions?

What about that hair doesn't scream "trustworthy"?

Frankly, I think that pretty much all characters from all JRPG games have the weirdest, really fucked up hairstyles.

EDIT: no offense to your avatar, of course. Still...I gotta admit I have no idea where that character is from, but by the hairstyle, I'm guessing it's from a jRPG.
