Namco has been hinting for a while that Dark Souls might be coming to PC, with a Facebook page hoarding likes for an announcement. PC Action (German magazine) has confirmed that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is coming to PC this August. Apart from new bosses everything else will stay the same from it's console counterpart.

The challenge of Dark Souls with the accuracy and speed of a mouse, and the online capabilities of an MMO (One can hope, no?).

This will be really interesting.

The one thing that I really want them to implement is a feature that allows you to set a certain number ping people have to be below to show up in your world. Nothing more infuriating in Dark Souls than getting invade by some guy who keeps lag stabbing you and there isn't shit you can do about it.

Seems odd that petitions seem to be working nowadays what with this and the 3 Nintendo titles.

Can't say what I've played of the game is amazing, its decent enough and has a nice enough challenge (compared to other modern games) but I'll wait until its cheap on Steam.

So this is that extremely hard game, RPG which is sometimes compared to Skyrim, right?
Very interested in that case.

Combat is a lot better than Skyrim. It's also a lot less about NPC interactions and outright exploring and more about dying and killing incredibly tough shit, and of course the online. You can invade other people and kill them for various reasons. You can even join covenants just to screw with other people, like making the monsters in their world ridiculously hard to kill, haha. The online features are seamless and amazing.

Nice Day 1 Pirate

Would be a pretty shitty game to pirate unless they get pirate servers up. A huge component of the game is its online.

EDIT: wow it took me an entire day to realize I typo'd purchase for pirate. Fail.

I have never played this game before, but it sounds like the online features you listed exists only to allow grieving other players.
