Hardware Damaged PS4 Camera Plug

Someone has trodden (probably) on the ps4 camera plug and badly misshapen it. Im looking into several ways i can fix the problem if i cant simply bend it back into shape.

Ive seen adaptors and extension cables exist that i could use. However i cant find them anywhere online. Anyone have any leads?

Can i just solder on a usb3 port/lead and would it then work on the ps4 in one of its usb ports as it is technically just usb 3 anyway? This is my favourite option for an elegant solution ATM.

Isn't it just a common USB port?
Hell, I connected my camera a long time ago and perhaps I don't remember well, but I thought it was a standard usb port.
