Hacking D-Pad Stopped Working :(

My Left and Right button for the D-Pad sometimes works and sometimes dont. I have to press it Hard to make it work ..... Is there a way to fix this? It suddenly happend today this morning. Would I have to open my DS Lite? If so is there a guide on how to open and fixing the D-Pad?

Looks like you have to replace them. Try blowing into them fixed my L, and R buttons sometimes.

Seems like the conductor pads under the Left and Right Dpad buttons have died. To fix you need to order a replacement D-pad conductor pad, open your DS and replace the dead one.

The same thing happened my ds. i sent it off to my local game shop and they fixed it for me. it only cost €15. not bad it works perfect now.

Lucky I wish Gamestop fixed DS's... I need to fix my touch screen.

You know, a person could rally start a good business just fixing DS's using DX as a supplier and marking up the price for labor. The mark-up compensates for any other parts that may break while fixing the original problem....it happens, believe me, my bro's fixed a fair few DS's now. But otherwise....PROFIT!

£60 I think. That's what I was quoted for a replacement bottom screen.

Rayder, I think theives like us already has a business like that.
And it costs $75 USD for Nintendo to fix anything, like a broken hinge, or an unresponsive L button, etc. However, some people have managed to get a free repair regardless of their warranty. I suppose it all depends on who answers your call.
