Ok, here's GCMM with Ralf functions added:

I can't test it myself, so if anyone can try it with PSO and F-zero to confirm it works I'll apreciate it.

I can confirm it works for F-Zero GX. I deleted the save file previously made valid by cheat codes from my 3rd party card and cleared the mcbackup folder, to make sure I would not re-use a previously validated backup. I then made a backup of my original save file in the official card and transferred it to the 3rd party one, and all my content was there.

It looks like this nearly decade old problem has finally been conquered.
Great job to everyone involved!

Good, that means I didn't mess up when adding the code to GCMM. If f-zero works there's no reason PSO shouldn't. bm123456 will test it anyways.

BTW, Ralf also posted the make savegame valid codes that are compatible with dolphin, if anyone is interested (but only for F-zero, maybe he'll update PSO codes too).

Oh, and if anyone is interested, it seems that the serial number of PSO3 is at the same position than PSO Ep I&II, at 0x2198 to 0x219F for a gci file (0x2158+header, which for a gci file is 0x40).

Yes. Those are the codes that zerofalcon used to generate the ocarina cheat file that finally enabled me to make my savegame valid. The previous codes worked with the AR package but not with ocarina

Tested reformatted memory card and add all my old SAVES back plus new PSO and FZERO still all working great ,

Worked perfect thanks Suloku and (Ralf)

Oh, I missed that part.

BTW, I've uploaded gcpadder 0.2, I tested it with dolphin and seems to work fine, I guess it will also with devolution (I dunno why I didn't test 0.1 with dolphin before posting it)

Well, I guess that's it, what started with a rather depressing outcome (not being able to change the memory card header) has ended with the best case scenario: GCMM automagically fixing F-zero and PSO savegames when restoring.

Works like a charm, I tested it with a .cgi of F-zero of a official MC an put it in a 3rd party MC and it worked, yeah!
Very simple, very easy :yaywii:

I've uploaded gcserial, gcheader, gcpadder and a new tool, mci2raw to a package.

I've changed the readme files to reflect newer information, and gcserial can now output the serial number of a memory card image (just drag and drop on the exe file).
mci2raw is a tool that converts mci images to raw and vice versa (mci is a format used by softdevs sdmc, a memory card manager for gamecube).

http://code.google.com/p/gcmm/wiki/Raw_Tools

F-zero and Phantasy Star Online patches by Ralf have been added to dolphin's git repository, so nightly builds or next release should transfer those savegames with no problems (at least PAL and USA versions).

No problems here, also you might want to use Gcmm 1.4 for your memory card manager. Still having trouble with MGS after this I suggest buying a new memory card.
