I used the latest U8Tool version by HowardC in safe mode (Vista) and it took 5 seconds to extract

Hey can someone send me the a custom ntsc theme uncomprssed that has chansel already uncompressed that has the folders like tmg and the other stuff becuaue ASH.exe doesn't want to work for me now.

u8tool uncompresses .ash files to an OUT folder in about a second. Just like it works with .app files

I guess I can handle the editing part by myself, but I wanted to know what exactly needs to be edited to change the background color of the main Wii Channels screen and disc menu screen to black? I believe its something that needs to be hex-edited, but I dont exactly know what.

Also, anyone making icons and cursors for there SMs, do you get alot of "jaggies" around the edges? Just wanna know if I should do anything to make them look smoother.

Kind of not alot of it though I'm not sure if Digity or Jizmo wants anyone to know right now I would just wait till' one of them writes a guide on how to do it.

Try figuring it out it shouldn't be that hard I'm trying the way that they told me will work(Digity and jizmo did not tell me someone else did).I don't know if it will work so I'm gona try it.

Why don't we just do the BASIC thing for now -- red wii, black wii, green wii, purple wii. What I mean is, take all of the icons, and just grab the hue slider and change the hue to make it different colors. It's not much, but until real custom menus come out, we can have nice alternatives to the white and blue Wii. I would like a white and purple Wii, for instance.


...Maybe if I have some time I can do this myself, haven't looked into it, though.

Its not that simplem unfortunatly. I have to manually go through the file edit about 20 strings to change the colour
