Question
Does anyone here have experience with a crystal case? I ask because iv'e always gotten them for my portables(ds, 3ds) but it just occurred to me, would it be safe to have it on while docked? I usually just buy them from china and my concern is because of how hot the switch can get in docked mode you think there's a risk of the plastic melting or something like that? the crystal case does have holes where the vent it but..

It also says it's dock friendly but it does seem a little tight.

Here's a pic of it:

I doubt it would melt. The upper limit of what crystal (polycarbonate) plastic can handle is 130°C. It would be hot to the touch before it would melt. You could always use a USB-C extension cable or remove the insides from the dock and plug it in without the case.

Why don't you buy the Transparent cover for the switch? it looks way cooler.

Also your switch shouldn't get so hot to melt the case, i play it all the time never had it go that hot

Mine is transparent. I'm just a little concerned because of how tight it is in the dock even with a screen protector taking most of the grind when lifting it up and down.

Does anyone know a decent case that's dock friendly? or even something that isn't dock friendly but can be taken off easy?
