Anyhow an interesting development (I am still thinking dune so a more insightful comment is probably not going to happen right now).

lol, pointless much.

first off, what the others said. if it's taking water out of the air, then the air will be too dry to even breathe comfortably.

two, pollution. what's to say the resulting water isn't contaminated?

I'd imagine that purification would be a built in part of the process; after all, what's the point of collecting this water if you can't even be sure that it's safe to drink.

Even if, by some chance, it wasn't, water purification tablets are inexpensive and easy to access, so that still shouldn't prove to be much of a problem.

If you think about how high up the fan blades are and where the moisture suction is taking place, it might not affect the breathing air so much.
I'm curious if this sort of technology could literally harvest clouds, maybe not on an actual structure but on an aircraft or something.
