I've searched all over for a guide on creating your own permanent theme. I found something on psxhax, but it was convoluted and didn't provide much guidance. I was wondering if there is a way to create your own permanent theme?

use this one to make the theme

and this one to make it permanent

good luck

Thank you. I had created a few customs and whenever i shut off the ps4 it would revert to generic theme due to it not being a permanent theme. I guess you need to have a license associated with a theme to make it permanent.

Can't make our own ones permanent yet. I found this out a while ago which was extremely disappointing. But I was wondering. Couldn't we open up a permanent theme and edit that? Surely changes would apply. But not sure how it would work out if it's even possible

I was wondering the same thing. I was able to extract the licensing pkg from a permanent theme, but I haven't had much time to delve into the details. I am not the best at tinkering with these files and I'm guessing it may be more difficult than one may think, otherwise probably would have been created by now.

It'll surely be a dead end, although I support curiosity in the dry times we live in as PS4 Homebrew Owners. The main issue with what you want is it's the whole reason why we cannot install Fake PKG Games permanently on our PS4, even if we already own the license officially, and it's a matter of Encryption, and Security, and frankly while we know how to delve into a PKG file to alter it's contents, there's still a lot of security put in place on some of the internal contents of a PKG file that prevents us from authentically Repackaging one without having it be denied by an OFW PS4.

Now if we can figure this out resigning License Data will not be too far off, but frankly there's a lot to this, and I've been out of the PS4 scene for awhile due to the lack of activity, so I'm no expert.
