Do I have to install BootMii too if install Priiloader? Or I can just install Priiloader?

They're completely independent (although bootmii-ios is fairly useless if you don't have priiloader, and frankly even then unless you want to use wii-linux)
If you bannerbrick you'll want to have priiloader installed and a modern wad manager on the SD to remove the defective title

Also I'd like to know if Priiloader is safe for me to install. This concern arises from the warning on the WiiBrew wiki page for Priiloader that says,

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL PRIILOADER ONLY ON A WII WITH ONLY UNMODIFIED IOSs!

I have no idea if I have modified or unmodified IOSs

@zackcooper ... The base channels you posted a link for all work and just about any other will do for base. CustomizeMii does everything you need besides creating your own desired specific .dol forwarder path. Using ModMii can/will do exactly what you want/need for that task. In ModMii type (A) for advance features, then type (F) for forwarder features. You can build a forwarder .dol of your own path(s), and point it to USB or SD exclusively, or point path(s) to USB/SD combination with multiple directories. I've created at least a dozen forwarder channels this way, on a few occasions had to change path as it is picky about underscore (_) and may be case sensitive. Hope this info will be useful for your channel creations.

ModMii is one of the most important and useful programs for the Wii. It blows my mind that it isn't used for All softmods, new or upgrades. But no, you need both CustomizeMii & ModMii to get your desired results. Ill write out a tutorial and post it soon.

ok, cool, look, what I really wanna know if I should really install Priiloader. I mean all I am gonna do is create a couple of wads (i'm not gonna change any CustomizeMii settings, just add a new a picture and music) and that's it. Is it really gonna screw up my Wii if I don't have Priiloader?

Create a ModMii folder on desktop then Install ModMii to that folder. Open ModMii with dektop shortcut (not ModMii Skin shortcut....

Type...I Agree (press enter) Type...A (press enter) Type...F (press enter) Type...1 (press enter) Type...1 (press enter)

Now you should be at page where you must "Input forwarder path #1.... I'll use you as forwarder example here... I'll use...
Type... apps/zackcooper/boot.dol ...as the first path then press enter. This is the only path you need if you are fine with only 1 path, but you can choose more paths, and as an example ill use me as a second path...Type... apps/RunningSnakes/boot.dol ... as the second path then press enter. This means your forwarder channel you will be creating will launch using either of these 2 directories created whether you have your program placed in SD or USB.

Type...A (press enter).

Now enter a name for your forwarder with the following paths... Name the channel anything you want... I just use an example...
GenesisPlusGX (press enter)
Type...D
Type...Y

The GenesisPlusGX.dol file is done downloading & you'll find it on Desktop/ModMii/XFlak/ModMii/COPY_TO_SD/DOLS

If you just want to make a few changes to an already existing Forwarder Channel that works, you really don't need a different forwarder.dol.
But you will only benefit having Priiloader installed for some sweet functions & most of all security. so i think yes, it is a good idea to have it installed. You might as well have your softmod done the RIGHT way. I suggest you spend the 30 minutes MAX using ModMii to completely softmod your Wii the correct way.

For this type of channel, check out WiiFlow Lite plugin tutorial. You really don't know what that Loader is capable of, i recommend checking it out to see if it is something your are willing to take on.

Ok. Now that your have your .dol file created, open up CustomizeMII.
Browse for your .wad file your want to edit and open. Click Options/ then Browse for New DOL:/ Load DOL file:

as for the Wiiflow lite plugin, even if I set everything up I would have to first open the Wiiflow channel and then browse my homebrew games in it, right?
