Ok, so i want to create another Nand Backup of N3DS XL running on 11.7-40E. Before i go to update to 11.8. My question is: Can i use a second Micro SD card to create the backup(since my main sd card doesn't have enough space)?

Yes, just put Luma boot.firm and payloads folder with the gm9 folder with scripts, and you can boot into GodMode9 on the new SD card and make a NAND backup.
Ok, thank you for the fast answer;)

Sorry to ask, but is this NAND backup the same thing as a SysNAND backup? The 3DS Guide site told me to backup my SysNAND in case something breaks in the future. Then i got these three files. Is this my NAND backup?

Ok, so I decided to not update to 11.8 yet, but i still want to do another backup. So i copied everything beside the Nintendo 3DS folder to my new Micro SD card. And then, when i boot the system none of my homebrews appear. I know that games wont appear but homebrew apps like fbi doesnt show up either. So my question now is: Can I just go ahead and do the backup without having those homebrews showing up?
