Seems like a stability problem, no problem if I connect myself directly to an outside server.

As long as your network is healthy, there should be no randomness..

Find the Windows Event Viewer, and look in the Application Event log... Any errors in there pertaining to named?

2 Errors:
failed to generate session key for dynamic DNS: permission denied
could not create C:\Program Files\ISC BIND 9\etc\session.key

Navigate to c:\program files right click on ISC bind.
Click properties. Under the security or permissions tab click edit and add user 'named' with full control that should fix that. Once done restart named.

Just wondering, though. Is there an equivalent of Bind for Mac? Now I have to use the secondary computer everytime I start the Wii U. I use Mac primarily.

This is how I use my mac to re-route certain domains...

-- Connect your Mac to your router via Network Cable.

-- Setup Internet Connection Sharing (to share using Wi-Fi) on your Mac.

-- Add the domains to your HOSTS file to go to 127.0.0.1 or whatever your localhost is??

-- Connect your Wii U to your Mac using the shared Wi-Fi connection.

However if you want to use your Mac Wi-Fi's I would suggest to use Glimmer to serve as the proxy server instead.
You can connect your Mac to your router using Wi-Fi, then connect your Wii U to your router but change the proxy setting to use your Mac as the proxy server.
You can block domains in Glimmer or via your HOSTS file.

FYI this same method would also work on a PC with Internet Connection Sharing, but i personally don't like funneling all of my traffic through an additional hop.
