Hey everyone. I was discussing some visual stuff with my brother today and I think I have some new tweaks that make a bit more sense. Some are purely visual and some are code so I will need to speak with DK to see what he thinks.
Here is two samples though. They may look very plain but it's the whole idea of what I am trying to achieve.
Can't really tell the difference... maybe the little gradient inside the boxes.?
you removed those dots (i never really found them nice, i mean, till we don't have the scrollbar there's no need for theme)
I'm going to ask if Don can put the console on the main page where it says the game, back to below the main box instead of above.
it's just some coords to change so consider it done.
That was my silliness and it was pointed out today over a few hours discussing with my brother. I'm also going to see if he can code it so that when you press A on the game it asks you to confirm if your want to load it or not.
[...]
First if it can be coded properly, then the first time you use the loader it will ask if you want confirmation dialogues. If you say no, then it won't ever ask and so when you press A it will just load. However for those using the loader for maybe their children who don't know what is what, then when you click it will ask you unless you have disabled the confirmation texts. I hope that makes sense. I also hope that you see it makes a much more user friendly loader that anyone could use, not just us tech geeks
Already done with a config settings named safe_mode = [0], 1 ,2 where
0: install/remove/format + no useless user interaction (aka advanced mode).
1: no install/remove/format + ask the user what to do (aka safe/child mode)
2: same as 0 (advanced mode) but with user interaction enabled.
As you will see on the second image, I'm hoping that this is how the Settings page can maybe end up like. You will still set options on or off in there but now you see the actual game your setting it to. The Wiimote was nice but I don't think it's really needed, however maybe much later a information section can be added. I would probably say it's best left till maybe a new library is used like contemplated.
i really did like that wiimote, it's a neat way to display instructions.
maybe you can turn it 90° left or right (make it horizontal) and put it either at the top or bottom as we have some free space there.
NOTE
Ignore the fact that the game in picture 1 (Muramasa) and the settings pic are different, they would be the same
