Hacking couldn't find_ds_menu.dat

I just bought this R4 ndsl/nds and always give me the same error.
couldn't find_ds_menu.dat
I downloaded (2993)english_1.18.rar
english 1.19.rar
(2788)r4dsv1.18_patcher.rar
setupUS1-05
and nothing changed.
Please help.

Extract the files out of the english folder.......

hmm did your put the files on the Root of your card and download the 1.18 the real one since R4 team is dead

ummm when you extract it it will go into a folder called english cut and past the into the root of your card (the main folder when you click your card in my computer)\then delete english folder and your done

you download the firmware: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=3196

unzip it: http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm

take the _DS_MENU.DAT and _DS_MSHL.DAT files
take the _System_ and moonshl folders

place all 4 on the root of your micro sd card. root means the top most directory, as in not inside a sub directory.
