Hacking Confused on this update 7.0

I just put the uptodate file
dstwoupdate.dat in my DSTWO I got a smiley face with the white box telling me to update it ?

I done that but I still need to update my 3DS to 7.0 ? I am so confused on this part LOL is it safe to update it as that happen Yes or No ?


I need more advice on this cart

If you update your DSTWO, you can safely update your 3DS. The 3DS will want to update even if you updated your DSTWO.

You don't need to update to 7.0 this is just a matter of choice depending on what you want.

If you applied new patch to card on your supercard ds two, then yes you can go ahead and update to 7.0 if that is what you want, and the card will still function fine ( tested it myself yesterday).

The update to your DSTWO was just to make it compatible with 3DS firmware 7.0. You can now update to 7.0 or continue to play on your current firmware. Either way you made the right choice in updating your DSTWO before updating your 3DS firmware.

Now it's time to update the 3DS itself.
