Hacking Cios d2x quick question

I have cios d2x v8 installed and the latest version of usb loader gx and everything works. I read some time ago that v8 was more stable than v10, so i never bothered updating. But lately i've seen a few posts recommending v10, so i was wondering if i should update. What are the pros and cons of v10 over v8? Or are the changes so small that it doesn't really matter which version i have installed?

If v8 works with your HDD there is no point in updating. v10-beta52 only includes fixes for a few drives that didn't report information properly.
