Hacking CIOS and wii shop patch

Ok, so I have a CIOS made by Waninkoko. And I cant get to my shop channel because I need to update. So i was wondering...If I used that wii shop patch, would that mess with my CIOS? I need it for the backup loader V.4...

I just made an account here, and I probably won't be here very long. But I have a quick question.

I never downloaded the October 23rd update, however I did the most resent one that came out a couple week ago.

Am I ok?
