Hardware Chromebook On-screen Keyboard

So I have an Acer Chromebook R 11, dualbooting ChromeOS and GalliumOS. But when I have the dongle for a wireless mouse plugged in, and the Chromebook in tablet mode, the on-screen keyboard won't come up but touchscreen still works. Just wondering if it's possible to have the dongle in and have the on-screen keyboard working at the same time.

Why I don't just take the dongle out when not using the mouse, so the on screen keyboard works:
The USB ports seem a bit... stiff, I don't mean a little bit. It's a struggle to put something in or out. So it can't be a good idea to keep taking it in and out. Also easier to lose I guess.

I own the exact same chromebook as you, but it's dualbooting ubuntu and chromeos.

Try adding accessibility to your dock with bluetooth and wifi.
I had the same problem, and adding that, worked for me.

I had the same problem where the on-screen virtual keyboard was not displayed when I attached a wireless mouse. I downloaded the new driver from
my system vendor and now I am getting back my on-screen keyboard.
