Hey guys. I have a sweet Wii U (5.3.2) with 5.5.1 spoof and TubeHax enabled.
Two days ago, my router died (Netgear DGN2200v4) and with him my list of blocked Nintendo's servers.
Then, i have installed my auxiliary router (TP-Link TD-W8960N), unfortunately this thing is plenty of bug, the URL filtering doesn't permit to add more than 4 urls. (is a known bug)

So, i decided to self host the exploit and block my WiiU's MAC; But i want something cheap that can be on 24/7 and absorbs little electricity. (Energy in Italy is SO expensive.)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Buy Zsun usb wifi adapter and paste files on it!
The price is about 8usd and you need usb slot, not sd and can use any sd card...
With ezshare you can't use sdxc cards, only sdhc.

And you can plug it into wiiu, no need of pc.

Looks decent and only £8 shipped from HK.

My method works well for me as I get free 32-128gb (SDHC and SDXC) micro SD cards all the time from clients, but this looks a great alternative for self host, but doesnt solve the issue of having to have an SD card in the wiiu for loadiine to load games from.... we dont have USB access in loadiine yet.... unless you mean web server from usb to loadiine? in which case I dont know how to stream games anyway :-/

An everyday domestic router at max will run at around 10 watts full load , if you convert this to a daily kilowatt hour consumption your at 0.24 Kwh which across a year with the average Kwh price in italy being around 0.25 euros , you talking around 22 euros per year to run a router at full speed all day everyday....plus the 50 euros to replace your router... peanuts...

Yes, only web server. Games on sd and zsun for selfhost. No need of internet or pc...
Launch exploit from zsun and start games from sd.

I don't understand... you just said you have TubeHax enabled... So why would you need to block the servers manually? TubeHax already does that. You're good, nothing else to do. Let your WiiU use the internet, party, have a good time.

It's not... TubeHax blocks it. If TubeHax ever goes down, then your WiiU simply won't connect to the internet and won't be able to update regardless.
You can also still use the EShop temporarily while using TubeHax, after running the NNU homebrew.

Just to clarify and make sure you're using the proper TubeHax, your DNS on the WiiU should be set to 107.211.140.065
