I got some WAD's of Japanese games installed, and for the ones that uses a ID with kanji, my wii seems to just display a blank little window when you hover the pointer over it.

Just wondering if there is any easy way of changing the title ID with an app so that i could modify the title into english so it shows? And if possible, a simple step by step guide so my retarded ass doesn't screw things up.

I usually use WADder for that. It's pretty self explanatory after you download and install it.

But if there's a channel creator for backup loaders that allows you to rename them so I won't have to run WADder each time, someone better tell me.

I take it you are using Vista?

I never got WADder running in Vista, but some ppl say you can get it running by booting in fail safe mode. Try it.

No, using XP SP3, it gives me a system error after I input the titles into their fields and click the button on the bottom

I'm not sure what you're trying to change here. Title ID is like RUUE. You sound like you want to change the name that appears when you hold the cursor on the channel. I'll explain how to change both.

Download these banner tools: http://www.mediafire.com/?mc7dtt3zl1v

Put the wad in the same folder and rename it "in.wad"

Run WAD Unpacker.bat and it will extract the contents of the wad into a folder

Change Name
===============================================================
Open 00000000.app in Hex Workshop, UltraEdit, etc. and you will see the name.

Note: I've noticed the first name is usually screwed up and cut off... don't worry about it.
===============================================================

Change Title ID
===============================================================
Open *.tik and *.tmd in Hex Workshop, UltraEdit, etc. and scroll down, you will see the Title ID
===============================================================

Now move all of the files into the main Newbannertools folder (the folder that contains your in.wad and WAD Unpacker.bat).

Run WAD Packer.bat and it will create a new out.wad

Rename out.wad to whatever you'd like and reinstall.

So I think I confirmed I'm retarded here.

I open the 00000.app and one of the first lines is DraculaX, however that isn't the name that appears on the wii menu, and the rest is just a random mess of letters and numbers, leaving me extremely confused what to actually change?

Hmm must be an injected game?

PM me the wad tell me what you want it to say... I'll see if I can figure it out.
